Catskills Creek is Olara's second property — and its most ambitious. At 128 W Moorehouse Road in Cairo, New York, 125 acres stretch across both banks of Catskill Creek for over 2,000 linear feet. More than 1,000 of those feet are private waterfall. The site follows the path of an 1880s railroad corridor through old-growth forest, past natural swimming holes, trout and bass runs, and ridge trails that never touch another property line.
45 units across three accommodation types. A full Nordic thermal circuit. A 3,500 SF culinary, events, and conference venue. 20 minutes to Windham Mountain, 2 hours from Manhattan. Opening 2026.
Register Your Interest
A private compound designed around every dimension of rest — thermal, physical, social, and the kind that simply requires space.
For Wellness
Heat, cold, rest, repeat — the full Nordic sequence, available whenever you want it. Two dedicated sauna pods, two wellness decks with soaking tubs, a yoga and movement pod, and a private massage studio. Not a programme. Just infrastructure.
For Nature
The property holds both banks of Catskill Creek for over 2,000 linear feet — including more than a thousand feet of private waterfall. Swim in natural pools, fish for trout and bass on the creek, or trace the historic 1880s railroad corridor through forest that has never been cleared.
For Gathering
A 3,500 SF culinary, events, and conference venue. Exterior ceremony space for up to 80 guests. Artist studios, library, and conference pod. The kind of natural backdrop that makes a corporate offsite feel like something else entirely.
Three accommodation types. One private landscape. Each designed around a different mode of being.
20 units · Up to 2 guests
The 40-foot private unit — cedar cladding, floor-to-ceiling glass, a private deck and outdoor soaking tub. Designed for two, built for disconnection, set within the creek and forest network.
20 units · Up to 2 guests
Full glass-wall suites — the landscape becomes the interior. Panoramic creek and forest views, open-plan living, private terrace, and waterfall proximity. Light and water, unobstructed.
5 units · Up to 6 guests
A 40-foot main cabin paired with a 20-foot guest structure — two buildings, one private compound. Additional bedrooms, shared outdoor space, and the same cedar-and-glass design language as The Nest.
All amenities available to all guests throughout your stay.
The Thermal Circuit
Two wood-fired Nordic sauna pods, two outdoor wellness decks with soaking tubs, a yoga and movement pod, and a private massage studio — plus Catskill Creek as a natural cold plunge. The thermal circuit at Catskills Creek is not an amenity. It's a design principle.
Thermal contrast — the alternating sequence of heat and cold — is one of the most rigorously studied recovery practices in the world. Here, there's no booking window. Use it on your own schedule, at any hour, with the sound of the waterfall as the only ambient noise.
Weddings · Corporate · Retreats
The full property, exclusively yours. Whether it's a wedding of fifty, a leadership retreat of twelve, or a family gathering that needs somewhere worthy of it — Catskills Creek provides the backdrop that makes the difference.
Weddings
Ceremony on the grounds, reception in the events hall or under open sky beside the creek. A setting guests will be talking about long after.
Retreats
Leadership retreats, creative offsites, board gatherings. A setting that removes the usual context — and replaces it with something worth being present for.
Gatherings
Milestone birthdays, family reunions, close friend groups. The kind of occasion that deserves somewhere that earns the memory.

The Catskill Mountains have drawn artists, writers, and those in need of real respite since the 19th century. Thomas Cole painted here. The Hudson Valley School was born in this light. That landscape — still entirely intact — surrounds the property on every side, in the Town of Cairo, Greene County.
At 128 W Moorehouse Road, Catskill Creek runs through the property on both banks for over 2,000 linear feet. The water is cold and clear, the light filters through old-growth canopy, and an 1880s railroad corridor traces the ridge above the creek.
"In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks."
